3M™ Scotch-Weld™ 2216 is a two-component, flexible epoxy adhesive that cures at room temperature and is designed for applications requiring high resistance to impact, vibration, deflection, and extreme temperature conditions – including cryogenic temperatures. It forms a durable and highly flexible bond that does not crack or crumble even in the harshest operating conditions. Thanks to its excellent mechanical properties, the adhesive maintains high tensile, shear, and displacement strength, even under environmental aging conditions. Ideal for potting and bonding in the transport and electronics industries, and wherever flexibility and bond durability are important.

Benefits and properties
✅ Forms a highly flexible bond – resistance to deflection, vibration, and impact
✅ High mechanical strength – excellent shear and tensile properties
✅ Stability at extreme temperatures – effective even in cryogenic conditions
✅ Aging resistance – maintains properties even with long-term environmental exposure
✅ Versatile use – suitable for metal, plastics, composites, and ceramics
✅ Easy application with Duo-Pak – convenient and precise adhesive dispensing
Application tips
Apply the adhesive to clean, degreased surfaces using a Duo-Pak applicator. After mixing both components, the curing reaction begins automatically, and full strength is achieved after several hours at room temperature. Due to its high flexibility, the bond remains durable even with large temperature differences and dynamic stresses.
