
3M™ Scotch-Weld™ AC77 is a fast-drying primer specially formulated to improve the adhesion of cyanoacrylate adhesives on difficult-to-bond materials with low surface energy, such as polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), PTFE, acetal, and various elastomers. The formula containing a bonding activator accelerates the bonding and curing process, eliminating downtime and increasing production efficiency. The product is easy to use and designed for wide application in industry – from transportation and electronics, through the production of specialized vehicles, to the assembly of consumer goods.

Application tips
The primer should be applied evenly to the difficult-to-bond surface, e.g., PE, PP, PTFE plastics or rubber, and then allowed to dry until the solvent evaporates. Once the primer is dry, cyanoacrylate adhesive can be applied immediately and the components joined. For some plastics, it is recommended to test the product beforehand, as an excess may lead to unsightly absorption into the material.
